AC Hotel Bentonville is a part of Walmart’s new corporate headquarter that sits at its main gateway to establish the most prominent urban edge of the campus. It was designed to provide full frontage of active programs along the main boulevard with a breathtaking rooftop patio and bar with views towards downtown Bentonville and the massive campus greenway park to the north. Visitors to the AC Hotel will include potential recruits and trainees as well as those attending company gatherings. The hotel serves a dual role as a structure that represents the corporate Walmart and Marriott International brands while reflecting the local outdoor- and adventure-loving community. The exterior materials were selected to fit and enhance the new campus fabric with blended manganese ironspot brick units and custom-perforated aluminum panels. The outdoor ceilings were crafted from thermally modified Scandinavian timber to provide dimensional stability and durability against Arkansas’ humid subtropical climate.
Conveniently located off 8th street, the AC Hotel is steps away from not only the buildings on Walmart Home Office Campus but also prime retail and dining establishments, as well as an extensive network of outdoor trails. Other nearby attractions include The Momentary, Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art, and downtown Bentonville.
