The new Frisco headquarters for CORE Construction reflects the company’s exceptional construction services, and showcases its commitment to craft, innovation, and building community. The exterior of the 3-story building is defined by an exposed steel structure and a monumental external stairway, which allows for fluid, choreographed circulation between inside and out, linking a series of gathering spaces throughout the office complex. With close attention to materiality of nearby context, a concrete tilt wall was chosen for the exterior. The concrete panels were developed by Sinacola, with a natural finish to highlight the quality of the material. The CORE Training Facility, making up a two-level volume in the project, contains large conference rooms, an auditorium, and a rooftop lounge terrace.

Sustainable design practices were implemented in many different forms, including the use of energy-efficient geothermal mechanical systems and an array of photovoltaic panels. High performance glass and shading devices assist in saving energy by increasing daylighting’s effectiveness. Behind the building exists a generous amount of outdoor amenity areas, including a basketball court, putting green, and a manmade pond.
