The apartment was a historic preservation and adaptive reuse of the former Republic National Bank building which was built in 1925. The building is a Dallas Landmark and listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Adapting to the numerous and unique existing floor conditions, the building has 67 different loft-style luxury apartment layouts that are furnished with Euro-inspired kitchen systems and are rendered in modern material palette. The design repositioned the building by converting leftover outdoor spaces into delightful patios and adding an entirely new level of amenity deck complete with swimming pool and a rooftop greenhouse bar on the 21st level affording panoramic views of downtown Dallas. On the ground level, the spaces are entirely reorganized to create an activated urban edge to the Main Street of Dallas to contribute to the streetscape of downtown Dallas. Between entrances to independently-run restaurants, the residential entry vestibule provides an elegant sightline into an art-gallery-like lobby featuring works of renowned contemporary artists including a spherical sculpture by Lars-Erik Fisk.
