The tallest tower project approved by the city of Dallas in 2020, Urby Dallas is located in the Design District and will further elevate and transform the growing Dallas skyline. Urby is an upscale apartment brand with a taste for sleek, modern residential design. In collaboration with Amsterdam-based Concrete, 5G Studio Collaborative designed Urby Dallas for the New Jersey-based company, adding to their existing apartment complexes in Staten Island, Jersey City, Harrison, and Stamford, Connecticut.
The apartment units were designed for efficiency and supported an urban high-rise living. The common residents' spaces such as the mail room and the fitness center were programmed and configured as pleasant community spaces that promote active interactions amongst users.
Urby Dallas will feature 3 residential towers and 900 units in its entirety, two of which are 27-story twin towers, that are organized around a 10,000 SF courtyard with an oasis style pool. A 9-story freestanding parking structure is connected to the residential towers through covered walkways. The perimeter of the towers' ground floor is lined with retail and food-and-beverage spaces, and they contribute to an activated pedestrian realm along Hi Line Drive where it terminates and transitions into the Trinity River trails.
